A Rare Case: Pregnant Woman Stung by Stingray

In a rare incident, a pregnant woman, Khalood, was stung by a stingray while at the beach. Khalood, who was in the sea, suddenly felt a strong blow to her face, initially thinking it was caused by a large stone, but she couldn’t fully understand what had happened. She then went to the hospital, where it was diagnosed that she had been stung by a stingray.

According to the doctors, the stingray struck her with its tail, causing a spine to penetrate her face, approximately 3 cm long, which entered the bone from the face area and extended towards the teeth area. Fortunately, the situation was treated successfully under local anesthesia, and the spine was removed from her face without any nerve damage.

This case is very rare, as the spine’s penetration into the bone did not lead to any serious complications. After treatment, the doctors confirmed the patient’s safety, and she left the hospital in good health.
